Oppo is preparing to launch the Oppo Pad 3, a more affordable version of the recently introduced Oppo Pad 3 Pro tablet. The new tablet will show alongside the Reno 13 series smartphones in China on November 25th. Ahead of its launch, Oppo has revealed some key specifications on Weibo, the Chinese microblogging platform.
The Oppo Pad 3 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 chipset and run on ColorOS 15. It will offer up to 512GB of storage, ensuring smooth performance over time. Interestingly, while the Oppo Pad 2 features the Dimensity 9000 processor, the Dimensity 8350 in the Pad 3 is expected to deliver superior performance in both CPU and GPU tasks, despite the misleading naming convention.
Battery life is a standout feature of the Oppo Pad 3, with Oppo claiming an impressive standby time of up to 70 days on a single charge. However, the exact battery capacity has not yet been disclosed. The tablet will resemble the Pad 3 Pro in design and will be available in Silver and Purple color options.
Reports suggest the Oppo Pad 3 will sport an 11.6-inch LCD display with a 2.8K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. While the display is promising on paper, the use of an LCD panel might be a bit disappointing for users expecting AMOLED-level quality. The tablet is also rumored to pack a 9510mAh battery with support for 67W wired fast charging. Weighing approximately 533 grams and measuring 6.29mm in thickness, the tablet is expected to come in several configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB.
The official launch on November 25th will provide more details about the Oppo Pad 3, including pricing and availability. Stay tuned for further updates.
